We are Still Alive!

.....Sorry it has been so long since I last blogged....I looked today it was exactly Nov 2nd. Ooops!! I don't really have any excuses except that I hated going to use our computer in the study because it was so messy.....I had not unpacked a lot of things.....but I fixed that today! I've decided to try to do a few pictures of the family over the next few days. I want to show you what we have been up to lately.

Sophie is now 20 months, talking like there is no tomorrow...even singing phrases in songs. She keeps me on my toes. Generally, Sophie is a healthy child but in January, the sickies finally caught up to us. She had Roseola (fever, rash) followed by a major cold. But we are all doing better...I have found time to blog so I hope you will enjoy the pictures I'm going to share. I'll be sure to keep posting the next few days.

Sophie still loves to stack things. She really is into mostly making piles of books. She will say the title of the book, flip through it stopping at certain pages where she knows certain objects and then put the book into a pile. She can sit and do this for a long time....sometimes she insists on "mommie sit" with her to watch.....in my mind I wish I could be getting something done around the house.

Thanksgiving picture of the family.

I inserted this picture to share with you my own "I know I am doing a good thing"....."but then something doesn't quite go right" story. This is Sophie's lion. It USED to have a big beautiful mane, then I washed it in the washing machine...which was OK....the mistake was putting it in the dryer...OOPS....now it is Lion with a FRO!

Sophie's first day of starting Nursury. Bryce and I were excited....(except that I am called to the nursury, but not to Sophie's class.....we have 4 nursury classes in our ward). We started off a little rough, but things are getting better. Last week in fact, she didn't cry at all....the last hour she was telling her teachers "poopie diaper".....she didn't have one until the very end of church (I guess she knew it was coming:)

Sophie was introduced to the riding shopping cart car by Grandma at home Depot. Home Depot was OK because the isles are big enough.. (I hate them at regular grocery stores and luckily Sophie hasn't noticed them yet!)

What day is iT?

Hey everyone,

So it has been a long time since I've blogged. I have to say that busy is an understatement because we have moved into our "project" house. We "officially" signed the paper in August, did not move until the first of September and it has been nonstop work since....and it takes longer because of Sophie. She is becoming our little helper...not always in the most efficient ways though. We are just enjoying her immensely because she is so funny. She has got this huge vocabulary and pretty much knows all the names of our family members including "an minnie" (Aunt Mandy) or "autin" (cousin Austin). There is so much I could tell you about her but instead I hope you will enjoy the pictures. By the way she as made it over 20 lbs. Yea!

The new house. We had it recarpeted and painted in order to move in...but there is still kitchen and bathroom makeovers coming. Also landscaping is needed.

She really tries to help.....but this was her empyting the food pantry shelf minutes after I put everything away. Then she tells herself "good job".

Sophie ate her first Oreo cookie at Grandma's house

Sophie also enjoyed her first fast food hamburger at Wendy's.
