Slow Progress....

(new dress)

So I promised an update after our trip to the doctor's. Well...she is still in the 50% in height going from 21 to 25 inches in 2 months, and around 5% still in weight...she's at 12lbs 1 oz. So basically since our weight check in October she has gained one pound. Of course we can contribute that to starting rice and oat cereals. We are slowly progressing through the veggies. Though she usually eats everything we give her it takes some time for her to warm up to them and so far there has been no reaction to her food except for really stinky diapers that are every color under the rainbow. (tmi???) Anyway, we are having a blast with her. She has developed a really distinct high pitched sqeal...I keep wondering if the neighbors have noticed. She is sleeping nicely through the night....however, we have had to make some adjustments to her bedtime so that she won't wake up too early....because she likes to get up and get her day started when the rest of us don't really want to. She is starting to sit better...I put the boppy behind her just in case...if she falls backwards she just will hang out there with her head upside down. Well there's the update. I wish we could be a little closer to family, but I'm grateful that Bryce has a job and we are surviving during these tough times. I hope you enjoy the pictures of Sophie....

Six Months Old!!

I can't believe how fast time is going and how fast Sophie is growing. We really don't have exciting lives here in San Diego. Hopefully we will do something fun for Thanksgiving which is coming up...... here are a few pictures from her 6 month birthday. We go to the doctor on Friday so we will let everyone know what happens...

Here is Dad and Sophie on her 1/2 birthday!!

This is her favorite posture after finishing a yummy meal! We are also progressing our solids and she just loves her bananas!!

She's starting to sit without her hands!!

All Smiles!

Sometimes Sophie is really good at about just playing wherever she is, like the couch!

More Sophie!

I just had to show her off in her "banana pajamas". there a little big (and very yellow) and sometimes she takes her feet out of the legs and can stick them straight up inside her PJ's.

The latest update is the Sophie is starting to reach some of her milestones. This last week she finally started rolling from her tummy to her back. (Even though she can do it she still whimpers when placed on her tummy) In the picture we have started seeing signs of supported sitting. She is getting more mobile. Eating time has become a bit of a struggle when she is interested in everything but the food. She twists and turns and reaches for all of the objects on the counter. It's really starting to get interesting. (but a whole lot of FUN too!)
