Today we are having a blizzard. Sophie's first real snow storm. I'm stuck at home because we don't have any cars that are good in the snow. We borrowed the forerunner from my parents so Bryce could get to work. We have been lazy about getting our cars winterized since moving from California. So I guess that means I have plenty of time to blog today and share some pictures of Sophie. Sophie is now 10 months old. She is still small but does not eat like it (or therefore poop like it). She loves to slide around on slippery surfaces like the tile in the bathroom or kitchen floor. She has payed the price with several bumps and bruises. (She had a nice goose egg on her forehead for a few days). She points with her finger and utters something like "uht". She likes to play patty cake and has started "throwing" the cake in the oven by lifting her arms above her head. She has really become a lot of fun. I just noticed she is finally getting her upper teeth...probably the reason she has been drooling and biting her fingers constantly. Now we can definitely blame grumpiness on "teething".
We just got back from a quick but fun trip to Utah to see Nana and Grandpa (Carpenter) before they leave on their mission to Singapore. We will miss them... The whole Carpenter family got together so it was fun to see everyone. Sophie really just enjoyed exploring a new place, staring at new people (she really does not get scared with new people...her thing is to stare kind of like..."who are you?") She mostly enjoyed the toys, her cousins, and Aunt Shelley's necklace and earings of course.

Sophie helping me pack her clothes for the trip to Utah. She really unpacks them and then finds a zipper or button to suck on.

Above is Sophie's hand trying to get the camera from me

She wasn't too happy with me when she couldn't have it!

Sophie in her warm cover suit that we bought her. Believe it or not we use it in our really cold house to keep her warm in the mornings. She doesn't particulary care for it since it is hard to move around in.

Sophie loves to swing! We have discovered a couple of parks near our home that we enjoy walking to.

Sophie and her dad on a walk. Her dad like to keep her warm in his jacket.

Above is a common theme. The feet. If I don't keep her tray in her highchair close to her they come up. She loves to lounge in her stroller. Hey if she is flexible maybe she will follow after mom and be a gymnast.

Sophie got my bagel. Notice the "mole" looking piece on her face.
