Sorry these are in backwards order. This is from Christmas eve when Grandma tried to explain the nativity story to Austin and Sophie. Sophie just reorganized the nativity figures on the couch.

Christmas Time
Here are a few pictures from Christmas Time this year.
I think Sophie wanted to be the present. All morning she was sitting in and on boxes, even unopened Christmas Presents.
Sophie did not know what to do with herself and all the new toys. She got a new table and chairs (above) but spent most of the morning pushing her new dolly in her shopping cart back and forth from the kitchen to the living room while the rest of us opened more presents.

This is after we opened the snappers! This is the first bow ever placed in Sophie's hair. It didn't last very long.
The only attempt at sitting on Santa's lap this year came with help from Grandpa. Even with Grandpa it was "unpleasant" for Sophie. (She only ever would wave from a distance when she anything resembling a Santa Claus, otherwise if IT got to close we would start whimpering)
A good old face plant in the snow after Grandpa tried to take the sled up an embankment (OK not really, just a few inches higher from where he had shoveled the snow off the sidewalks)

I think some credit is due to Sophie's Aunt Mandy for putting that bow in her hair. Yes, it may be ugly, but I'm doing my best to make her as girly-girl as possible. I love her Christmas jammies!
